The Eee PC 1000HE comes with the Asus Super Hybrid Engine, a software which provides you with more power per charge. The netbook can reach up to 9.5 hours of unplugged use with the extended battery life. The Super Hybrid Engine also allows you to control the performance of your netbook by setting the processor speed.

The Eee PC 1000HE’s new keyboard is more comfortable and less fatiguing to type on for prolonged periods.The chiclet-style keyboard is 92% the size of generic notebooks and it provides a comfortable typing experience. Also the right Shift key was now put where it belongs.

A brilliant 10-inch LED backlit widescreen display and a black, scratch-resistant hard-coat chassis combine a beautiful style with a great computing experience. The 1000HE features a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 and is easy to carry at only 3.2 lbs. There is also a multi-touch keypad which allows two-fingered zooming and scrolling.

Intel Atom N280 processor inside

Asus’ netbook is powered by the latest Intel Atom N280 processor. The N280 featured in the Eee PC 1000HE has 667MHz front-side-bus providing higher performance than the older N270. Built with the world’s smallest transistors, the Atom N280 processor uses only 2.5 watts of power, less than 1/10 of the power consumption of ordinary desktop processors.

Build with the latest technology available, the black Asus Eee PC 1000HE is clearly an improvement over its predecessor, the Asus Eee PC 1000HA.
