User review: Super thin and fast

I bought this laptop two months ago after I have owned the Apple MacBook Pro for almost two years. A friend recommended the Apple MacBook Air and I got it, because I have been pushing the limits with hard drive space and usage on my MB Pro. It was important for me to have a SSD and this model has it build-in. Keeps the whole thing quiet and cool.

So far, I must say it has been a joy. The 13-inch screen, though smaller than the MacBook Pro, is much brighter and easy to read. As for the laptop itself it is exactly what I wanted. The MacBook Air is smart, light weight and Mac OS X just works. No more Windows hell and you still have the full power of an UNIX operating system at your fingertips. Also, I have found it surprisingly easy to live without a optical drive as most software is accessible over the internet. And even if I need one, I can use the cool Mac feature and “borrow” the optical drive from my desktop computer over wireless. Just fantastic!

This thin notebook is just great for mobile people like me. If you wonder how fast it is, I can guarantee you very good performance. It is quick enough for me and I run multiple applications at one time like Adobe Photoshop, iTunes and Safari. As far as I know, no other company managed to get this much power in such a small notebook. It’s amazing!

All in all, I’m enjoying the compact, light and easy to use MacBook Air and I highly recommend it. I couldn’t be happier. It’s awesome! You don’t have to get it at an Apple Store, I bought mine from Amazon with a nice discount!
