Acer Aspire One AOA150-1447 Blue

The Acer Aspire One is a netbook designed for the mobile user. It features a 8.9-inch CrystalBrite WSVGA LED backlit display, extra-long battery life and weighs just over 2 pounds. Under the hood it is packed with a 160 GB hard drive and preinstalled Windows XP operating system. The netbook is build in a sapphire blue case with a smooth surface.

Power under the hood

The Aspire One uses the brand new 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor which reduces electrical current leakage in transistors. This saves energy, giving you more time without recharging. The N270 Atom processor uses just 2.5 watts of power, that is less than 1/10 of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

The computer comes with a 160 GB hard drive which runs at the speed of 5400 rpm. It offers enough space on the preinstalled Windows XP Home operating system for a hole MP3 library, movies and software. This Serial ATA hard drive also quickens the pace with a higher speed transfer of data. The included 6-cell battery provides up to 5.5 hours of battery life.

The netbook’s 1 GB of installed RAM (512 MB onboard memory and one 512 MB DIMM, 533 MHz) can be expanded to a maximum of 1.5 GB of RAM.

Because of the size of the Acer Aspire One, there is no optical drive included, but an external CD/DVD drive can be easily connected via one of the three USB ports.

In terms of connectivity it has an integrated 54g wireless LAN compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g networks, three USB 2.0 ports, a Multi-in-one card reader (supports SD, MMC, Memory Stick/Memory Stick PRO, and XD Picture Cards), one VGA monitor port and a 10/100 Fast Ethernet connection.

Great mobile experience

The 8.9-inch screen of the Aspire One supports a resolution up to 1024 x 600 pixels and 262K color depth. The display features the Acer’s CrystalBrite display technology which creates high-fidelity colors in all environments.
Graphics are powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which uses shared video memory with the main memory.

The Acer Aspire One comes in a sapphire blue case and is also available in black and white.
