The Acer Aspire One AOD150 Acer’s first 10-inch netbook. Like similar netbooks it features the Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB storage and a 10.1-inch CrystalBrite display. The affordable Acer Aspire One weighs just under 3 pounds and has a 6-cell battery that provides up to 5 hours of battery life for extended usage and productivity on the move.

Standard netbook

Offering a ruby red chassis, the netbook’s smooth surface is comfortable to touch. It’s accented with distinctive details and has a solid build for everyday use. It also has a webcam integrated into the LCD’s bezel and a built-in digital microphone for video conversations and recording.

Building on its line of popular Aspire One netbooks, Acer makes it even easier to stay productive while on the go. This version comes with a 160 GB hard disk drive (5400 rpm), 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and preinstalled Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system.

The Aspire One AOD150-1577 has 1 GB of installed RAM, 512 MB onboard memory and one 512 MB DIMM, 533 MHz. It can be expanded to a maximum of 1.5 GB of RAM.

Because of its size, the Acer netbook doesn’t come with an integrated optical DVD/CD Drive. Optional CD/DVD read/write drives can be connected to the netbook via one of the three USB ports.

CrystalBrite display

The 10.1-inch screen features a WSVGA resolution of 1024×600 and supports up to 262,000 colors. Video is powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which uses shared video memory with the main memory. Acer’s CrystalBrite display technology is able to read color coordinates more accurately, but can be reflective in direct sunlight.

All in all, the Aspire One D150 is Acer’s 10-inch netbook featuring all standard netbook components and is comparable to the Asus Eee PC 1000HA. The netbook comes in four colors: Sapphire Blue, Diamond Black, Seashell White and Ruby Red.
