Touchpad

A touchpad (also trackpad) is an input device consisting of specialized surface that can translate the motion and position of a user’s fingers to a relative position on a computer screen. It accepts one or more finger motions as a substitute for a computer mouse movement in order to move the onscreen pointer. A touchpad is typically a rectangular touch-sensitive pad located below the notebook keyboard with mouse buttons below it. They can also be found on personal digital assistants (PDAs) and some portable media players featuring a touch screen.
